Same technique, but sometimes different ways of lighting them for their textures.

Super half assed background to win al teh monez... pretty accurate indeed
But hey thanks for the tutorial. I for myself try to seperate base color ambient shadow and ambient color layer so I don't have to fuck around with shading in color (well as a refinement I do) ^^
But to be honest you didn't really say why it gets so silky smooth... is it the brush you use?

I did, but maybe I didn't explain it so well. Basically the silky-smooth effect comes from two factors:
One: It's because I use the six layers of shadings. Three layers of shadows and three layers of highlights allows me to get a really nice transition between tones, and gives a lot of depth.
Two: Use a BIG eraser with a BIG FUZZY edge. This lets you cut back into the edge of your shading and get a nice gradient/transition happening between tone layers.
I do have a custom brush I use, which you can find here:

K sorry, maybe I just overread that part thanks for the advice, i sure have to try the thing with the layers although I'm just always too lazy to make my pictures that clean.
aLso thabks for the brush, although i just always use my square "brush" (which is really just a square )

Are you somehow implying that I spent more time on her boobs than anything else? Because I totally did that
