Difficult to explain. It's just my style I guess. While I've gotten better, I don't fancy myself as a 2d artist lol. I think that I should model it out in 3D.

I've been a fan of the Eldar for as long as I can remember. I always wanted them to look more high tech. I took a few liberties on the design, hoping to do them justice.

there were debates amoung warhammer universe connosuires - which race is more hi-teched - Eldars or Tau
I'm for Eldars - they already forgot what Tau just learned

I always thought the 40k tech was a bit too consistant.
I wanted to add a more foreign and decorative touch
to the universe's most ancient and mysterious race.

Yes, many times yes!
GW created a great design for sci-fi elf-like race (not to mention an impressive background), it's quite inhuman and looks very fresh and unique even 20 years after, but I agree that this design is far too general and superficial for the 'universe's most ancient and mysterious race'. And as the mainstream attention is bound to spacemarines, the Eldar is one of the less detailed races in Warhammer.
And you did a great job! Eldar style is very recognizable in this design, but at the same time it is a whole new level of subject comprehension. I guess it would be worth an effort to try working out some more of the Eldar in this way..
I think I'm about to try something like that myself in the nearest days. And I'd be grateful if you let me borrow some of the concept features you used here, for I'm definitely amazed at how it fits to the benefit of the Eldar look.. I will certainly mention you when it is done

And I'll be looking toward any of your new pictures, as I'm a great fan now!
