It's funny because Derpy got the joke correct the first time, and she thinks it was wrong so she tries again, and the crowd thinks it's part of the joke. :3

It's the most unreal and weird experience when people laugh about something that isn't funny. They "get" a joke that isn't there.
Often shows how much they conditioned to react as expected without using their brain.
I'm sure if Andy Kaufman was still alive, he's play with that tendency in the audience.
