Description I am an ant.

I live here. It takes me a long time to go from one place to another, but I don't think about it, I just keep moving.

I met a spider the other day and he asked me if I thought there was any meaning in life. I didn't know what he meant.

Did you know that ants are all unique, just like all other ants? We all have the same uniqueness.

The spider said he used to live in a trash can. I said I wished I could live in a trash can. He asked me why? I said I don't know. Good food I guess. He said, wouldn't you get fed up with all the ugliness and the stink of the trash? I said, I'm tired of running around this place, the flowers are too colourful, the sunlight is blinding, the whole area reeks of rising sap and has a heavy stench of pollen.

All the time we were talking, the spider was hanging on his web. I asked him why he didn't move around much. He said it was funny that I had asked because he was wondering why I kept moving all the time, running round and round in circles. I told him that it was because I didn't know how to stop.

But now I had met him, I had realised that some of the insects that don't keep running round in circles all day are actually quite nice insects. I never did find out his name...

Awww... how pretty
lets ignore the image now. I'd seen this before, projected onto a screen, so I've seen it on a larger... and in it's actual scale.
I was something in it, a city, buildings, life moving on... borning (no not a typo or a spelling mistake, I like that word) and dieing.
But your description actually put into words the heart of what I pictured in my mind.
Beautifully written. Now if only people stopped looking at the picture as a sunny garden or park with plants in all it's prettiness. And actually looked at the life that goes on in that setting, imagining and realizing the microcosmic life and existence as our own. Living in a constantly changing, growing city, which evolves by reacting to the weather and it's surroundings. Reacting to other plants and other life.
Now if we take that understanding, something learnt from the actuality behind the pretty picture and translate it into our harsh and less natural world.... kind of makes you think doesn't it
I have to steal this slide from you and scan it for myself, perhaps print a poster, include your story in the poster. Or even expand my theory ... a bit like my A1 sketch you want me to submit.... would certainly be interesting...

wow, GREAT shot. i love how that big leaf on the top kinda overshadows everything... the colors are lovely as always, the perspective/focus is great, and the cropping job is interesting too. most of all, i like the story, it goes along so well. you're quite the artist.

Lovely colors! And the text with it is just wonderful - I can thank this deviation for putting a big silly "spring dreaming" grin on my face today.
