are you sure that box of ammo is for RE 4/5? I'm pretty sure the RE 5 ammo box was Red Hawk...

I didnt design this so blame Capcom then. The box is identical to that which is in the game, wrong or not I replicate them I dont change anything

RedDevil00 In reply to vannuffel [2011-05-24 17:08:37 +0000 UTC]

officially you cant buy them anymore, they are long sold out on airsoft sites and wherever else sold them. Only 500 exist of each model (apart from the standard model) and they sold out not long after release. Leon's desert eagles are from 1998, Barry's 2001. They are all very limited, rare models so unless you can find a collector's site selling them then your only bet is ebay you just cant buy them anywhere else anymore, i spent a long time looking. Though they might be 'second hand' many of them are in mint condition and you wouldnt even know they had been owned by someone else. My models are all in essentially perfect condition so you wouldnt know i hadnt bought it brand new myself

are you selling yours ? and if not I will check ebay then I will pay a well amount for them if so

Thanks for getting back to me

No has taken me long enough to get them. Wont even consider selling them for years yet. Theres several on ebay right now, not all models though

One day I will own the Leon DE replica. So expensive, but so awesome too. Best gun ever.

RedDevil00 In reply to shindeimas [2011-01-03 17:03:57 +0000 UTC]

Yeah they are very expensive but they're worth it. The thing about these is that they only go up in value. I havent yet got this version of the DE (still waiting on it being shipped to me (this is the 10" version, i switched the slide with a chrome slide set i bought separately to make it look the same)) I had to pay alot to get it but even at that i know i can get alot more money when it comes to selling it. Even if i was to sell it straight away I could make at least a £100-150 profit. For now these are only for my collection but i will be selling them eventually, in several years maybe

OMFG you have the Eagle?! Did you get a metal body or is that the plastic one?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RedDevil00 In reply to DarkSamuraiX1999 [2010-10-29 00:58:02 +0000 UTC]

Yeah i have Leon's DE. Its actualy a conversion i made, this gun is the 10" version i uploaded before, i bought the original TM frame and slide set in chrome and put the slide on here. Looks the same as the one that comes on the normal version of Leon's DE. Its still plastic but does look metal. Would love metal parts but they're too expensive. The frame is what comes on the gun so its plastic as well (TM stuff is usually always plastic with a few small metal parts like the mag, hammer etc)

DarkSamuraiX1999 In reply to RedDevil00 [2010-10-29 01:11:26 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I plan on getting a metal TM Eagle

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RedDevil00 In reply to DarkSamuraiX1999 [2010-10-29 01:17:17 +0000 UTC]

That will be cool. Would like to upgrade to metal but problem in finding the parts, the cost of them then the fitting of them. As mine are really just for props/display im ok with them how they are though if i ever get a chance to get a silver/chrome metal DE slide i'd be interested in it

DarkSamuraiX1999 In reply to RedDevil00 [2010-10-29 01:24:12 +0000 UTC]

Well the thing is I am still a semi active airsoft player. And the Desert Eagle has always been my preferred choice of airsoft sidearm. I love the TM Eagle's kick. But without metal frame and other parts, Green gas will cause severe wear and tear and cut the lifespan of the weapon down

RedDevil00 In reply to DarkSamuraiX1999 [2010-10-29 01:34:32 +0000 UTC]

Ah i see. Yeah prolonged use of propane can cause the plastic to crack and general damage of parts, safer with metal parts especially with a big gun like the DE being powerful as it is. I had thought about playing some airsoft to even just get my license but i dont think its really for me.. the cost of games, travelling etc plus being pretty unfit.. lol. I had considered it though, maybe one day. Another problem with plastic parts like TM use, not just that metal is higher quality and feel/look better but green gas is powerful. Its the only gas i have myself just now, might get some 123a instead as its less powerful

DarkSamuraiX1999 In reply to RedDevil00 [2010-10-29 01:45:04 +0000 UTC]

That's why I'm a semi-active airsoft player. Even though it's easier here in the states. I don't need a license, but in the area I live in. Don't even try to play outside of public property unless you wanna get arrested or shot. And sadly 134a is illegal here. And for me based on the few times I've used the stuff, it doesn't seem like it has enough kick to make the weapon cycle through a shot smoothly.

RedDevil00 In reply to DarkSamuraiX1999 [2010-10-29 02:14:43 +0000 UTC]

Well yeah its all easier in the US, theres barely any sites in this country to play. Im not interested in it really other than for getting my license so i dont have to have my guns covered in ridiculous paint so i can buy them, still a problem with that in that the license is only valid for a year, needs to be renewed every year. I hate this country. I know the law, no one else is seeing my guns. The law here really is ridiculous but i dont have much choice. Wow i didnt know it was illegal in the US. Its not that powerful, for a DE anyway, but for pistols etc its fine. Alot of people advise away from using green gas if your slide is plastic and to use 134a instead. I barely use mine so it doesnt matter much. I've fired a few times at my sis's house, no one around there to bother us about it

DarkSamuraiX1999 In reply to RedDevil00 [2010-10-29 02:21:45 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I don't know why 134A is illegal hear. But I don't think it was that long ago that it was made illegal. Cause I remember some stores used to have those midget cans of 134A

RedDevil00 In reply to DarkSamuraiX1999 [2010-10-29 02:23:24 +0000 UTC]

Yeah i dont know, i'd think propane is worse than 134a gas is so why it'd be banned i have no idea
