Description
This is my version of Mheetu. He's the son of (surprise surprise) Scar and Sarafina. I tried to put a little bit of both into him. He has a lighter, paler version of his father's pelt, he has colored toes, and he has an OutLander like nose. His tail tuff (and later mane color) is a darker version of his mother's tail tuff, and he has his mother's eyes and pink nose.

Mheetu is the first of Scar's children to be born, born before Zira and her lionesses return to the Pride Lands. Originally Scar had intended for Sarabi to be his Queen, but after finding out that she was pregnant with Mufasa's cub, he discarded her and instead chose the next best lioness: Sarafina.

When Mheetu was born, Scar was thoroughly pleased that he got his healthy male heir on his first try. As soon as Mheetu is weened, Scar takes Mheetu away from Sarafina and begins to teach the boy everything he needs to know to be king. But his teaching's aren't like that of Mufasa's. He teaches the boy that he has to be cold and cruel, that being the King meant that he could get whatever he wanted in life, and that females were lesser than males. The young cub soaked up his father's leasons like a sponge, for his father was King, and being King meant that you were always right, so how could his father be wrong? He began to emulate his father by bossing the lionesses around and bullying the other cubs. Whenever he didn't get his way, he'd throw a temper tantrum, screaming and hitting whoever dared deny his every whim until they finally gave in and gave him what he wanted. And as he got older, tantrums became more and more violent, to the point that he crippled another cub perminantly as a young pre-teen. When the lionesses would complain to Scar about it, he'd just shrug them off and ignore them. His son's behavior pleased Scar to no end, so he wasn't going to do anything about it. The lionesses turned to Sarafina to do something about it, but she, too, could do nothing about her son's attitude. The only lion he would listen to was his father, and his father did nothing. So the lionesses simply gave up and gave in to their dark Prince's wishes. But one lioness wouldn't give up so easily.

There was one lioness Mheetu could never get to obey him, and that was the daughter of the late King Mufasa, Shani. She was the only one who wouldn't put up with Mheetu's spoiled little Prince shit. If he ordered her do to something, she'd go out of her way to do the exact opposite. And if Mheetu hit her, she hit right back twice as hard. At first Mheetu hated it, but slowly he began to enjoy their little fights. She was the only one who dared stand up to her, and he liked that. So even though he never said it out loud, he secretly admired her, and as he got older, desired her.

Mheetu is a teen when Zira and her pride return to the PrideLands. When they join the pride, Mheetu treats them the same way as he treated the other Pride Land lionesses. But soon he found he had met his match. Zira hated Mheetu, and she wanted to be the mother of Scar's chosen heir. But she couldn't do that if Scar already had an heir. So the most logical thing to do was to get rid of the current heir to the throne. At first she wasn't sure if she should go through with it, but after Mheetu screamed and hit her, that was the last straw.

During one of Mheetu's night-time walks on the boarder, she attacked. Mheetu fought back, but he was no match for the older and stronger lioness. The best he was able to do was take a chunk out of her ear. So after she wounds him, he flees. Zira chased after him as if hunting down prey, and Mheetu, injured badly, knew it was only a matter of time before he'd be caught. He cried out for his father, cried out for mercy, cried out for forgiveness, but he was to far away from Pride Rock for Scar to hear him, and Zira would show him no mercy. But his cries do not fall on deaf ears. Suddenly, out of the shadows, another lionine form bursts out and attacks Zira. So surprised is she that she quickly turns back and flees. Mheetu skids to a stop and turns to see who his savior is. And it's none other than Shani.

After embracing his savior, he asks her if he could ever forgive her for all that he'd done wrong. Shani merely smiled and told him that she would forgive him only if he promised to change his ways. Mheetu gladly agreed with the terms.

From that day forward Mheetu was a changed lion. Although he still acted a bit spoiled at times, he had become much calmer and respectful towards others. He no longer hit anyone unless they posed a threat to his small pride, and he was much more lunderstanding towards others. Shani convinced Mheetu to run away with her to start a new pride somewhere away from his evil father's influence, and after healing from the wounds Zira inflicted on him, he and Shani found a nice patch of land away from the Pride Lands, where they settled down and started their own pride, starting with the two of them becoming mates.
