Description
Mufasa ("king" in Manazoto) is the son of Ahadi and Uru, the brother of Takatso/Scar and Pumzika, the adopted brother of Awali, the semi-mate of Ifiok, the mate of Sarabi, and the father of Babatika, Simba, and Shani.

A rather legendary king in Pride Lands lore, not because of how he ruled or for how long, but rather because of what happened between him and his brother that caused his reign to be so short.

Mufasa was the firstborn of Ahadi and Uru, and as such was destined to become King after them. This did not settle well with his younger brother, Takatso, who wanted to be more than just the Lion Guard’s leader.

Eventually, Taka, after renaming himself “Scar” for the scar over his eye, betrayed his brother by placing his nephew, Simba, in the middle of a stampede in the Great Gorge. Forced to dive in to save his son, Mufasa is gravely wounded in the attempt, and as he tries to climb back up the side of the Gorge to safety, he instead meets his traitorous brother, who hurts him back into the raging stampede to be trampled to death.

Though his reign was short, Mufasa continues to watch over and guide his son and his family from the stars, guiding them down on the right path and advising them during great times of need in his own, spiritual way.
