Sarabi ("mirage" in Swahili) is the daughter of Nguvu and Kuishi, the sister of Naanda, Diku, Dwala, Chuki, Kulaani, and Zira, the mate of Mufasa, the mother of Simba and Shani, and the adopted mother of Nadra.More info later~!

NOTES: Did I ever tell you that Sarabi is one of my favorite lionesses? Because she is. She and Vitani are my two most favorite lionesses in TLK because they're such badasses.

Quick question: what's your theory for why we don't see Sarabi in TLK2 and TLG?

She dies. She lives long enough to see the births of most of her grandchildren (up to Kiara) but dies before Kiara meets Kovu from an adder bite. This adds more fuel to the fire of Simba's paranoia, to the point where he marks out specific paths for Kiara to travel on daily that are "safe" (as we see in the movie).
