Description
The blood-red Ruby is one of the traditional birthstones for the month of July, and what I consider to be the most classically romantic stone. Hence the rose theme.
Roses are a personal symbol of mine as well as my favorite flower. Since my last name is Rose, they've kind of followed me in one way or another all my life.

gorgeous piece. Love the white of the roses in contrast with the red. Also good job on the right hand. Getting that whole. (pinky on the inside) as well as the grip is tough sometimes. I despise the fith finger sometimes.

Oh, I am no fan of the fifth finger! Half the time I'm tempted to paint my models as four-fingered, Simpsons-esque aliens.

Ruby is my birthstone as well. I'm not particuarly fond of it, but it is a very majestic and powerful feeling stone. You've definately captured that feeling with this piece. Great job!

Yeah. I can make blankets and pillows and stuff as well as cross-stitch, but that's as far as my sewing skills go. Those roses would be amazing embroidered with silk thread...
