Description
Here's the finished version of this redpanda7.deviantart.com/art/Mβ¦
Ok, before you start complaining let me explain. I tried to do the wings. I really bloody did try. I spent so long I ended up giving up on the wings in a different year (seriously, I was planning on being asleep by 00:10 Am...) Though to be honest, it is pretty entertaining to imagine bat faced cat things with hooves on the front legs chasing players about in the Nether xD
Any way, if you check below you'll see a description I'm making off the top of my head as we speak:
"Believed to be ancestors of bats, bat-faced thingies are common monstrosities in the Nether. Though they're partially blind, unless players crouch whilst walking within 20 blocks of a bat-faced thingy they will quite literally charge at the player. Even odder whilst their normal attacks are biting and hitting the player with their hooves, is their echo-location blast (which is edged by smoke). This 'blast' can cause horrible damage to creatures but can be hit back to them through the magic of a hoe."
As usual, comment below and tell me whatcha think
Seriously, I've spent all night trying to make this thing acceptable. Do it 0___0

Bathemoth (bat-he-moth) may I suggest;
The Bathemoth, a long lost ancestor of the Overworld Bat, was once a red variation found living in the Nether, but as new threats evolved in the Nether, it gave up it's small size and flying appendages for huge fangs, a bulking body, and immense strength and speed, and not to mention a highly aggressive nature towards potential threats, especially a unknown being that materialized from a strange portal. Β So grab your armor, because no place is safe from these bat-faced demons.

It certainly does sound like an interesting name and description, but you've forgotten one important thing. I. Bloody. Love. The. Name. Bat-faced Thingy.

Ya, it gives comic release for a quite serious mob. Β Maybe use my description but with 'Bat-Faced Thingy' instead of 'Bathemoth'

Maybe I could do wings, or you could just copy the vanilla bat's wings and scale them?!

XD Never trust fortune cookies. I had Chinese food 2 days ago, and when I opened my fortune cookie, it said 'The current year will bring you great happiness.' Nothing happy happened that night or yesterday.

It's a gargoyle, and btw, ~FawkesTheSkarmory has a tutorial on wings on his profile :3
Could you email me at enderbeast2000@gmail.com this model and see if I can 1-up this design?

A gargoyle is a statue, designed to be hideous, that spouts rain water out of its mouth. This abomination, is a bat-faced thingy. And I have seen the wings tutorial, but seeing as he was talking about how to texture feathered wings, it wouldn't be helpful for bat wings. And seeing as my problem was texturing the wings...
Besides, I'm happy with him
