Description
These old retired diesel locomotives and other equipment date back to between the '50s and the '60s but were only retired in the late '90s. These old machines have been retained for preservation and are waiting for their time in the workshops to be restored to operation like 1620 class DEL no.1620.Also, from this photo you wouldn't know that the workshops and associated (and overgrown and dwindling) yards are actually in the center of a busy city. I hope I get to see these old girls restored and running.

I like how it looks like, if they could talk, they'd tell you that they were 'just waiting'.

Diesel engines. Probably the toughest, most reliable, machines ever.
They probably still work now, just not as pretty to look at.

They are not working, they packed it in a long time ago and have been sitting here for years missing various parts as they had been sitting at the Redbank Diesel workshops for years before that being picked over for parts to keep others of the class running until they were preserved

Well if they've been cannibalised that's a different story.
It's like reincarnation on the instalment plan.
