This was taken from a slightly different angle, though. And as perhaps you might have noticed from the movement in the water, a faster shutter speed was used.

Other than these subtle differences, the main difference lies in post-processing. The 'original' had all the right raw elements. But the colours were over-done. Too garish. So I decided to reprocess the photo from scratch.

The 'original' photo must have been a blend of two photos at least. Instead, this one is just one photo processed first through CaptureOne, then in Photoshop. CaptureOne is a very powerful software! If extracting every ounce of quality from the photo is the goal, then this Raw converter is the best. I got that software initially to process portraits because it's very good with skin tones... But it soon occurred to me that it's capabilities stretch far beyond that. It's able to recover highlights is unparalleled, making exposing to the right a less risky affair.
