Wish I have a draw pad so I can show you what chibi I have been drawing...But all I have is paper.
I kinda like using the snowman guide, its easy for me to make the body in any shape and form.
I really want to show you some samples I did : (
This guide really helps me

If I can get a drawing tablet thing...
I have a printer that can scan but its not exactly connected to my laptop.
Plus I have no idea how to scan images well enough yet. Like I need to convert the image so it wouldnt be in adobe format...
Plus I have to rely on gimp...so it bites a bit since I kinda do not know how to clean the image.... v w v;

Oh, I used to have that sort of problem some years ago.
So I tend to rework everything digitally after I took a picture of my draft on paper.
I didn't have a tablet that time, so I started exploring pen tool for a beautiful line work.
Otherwise if I'm really lazy, I would make sure the line art on my paper is clear and black enough then I take a picture of it.
I don't have any scanner, but I can always liquify the line art on Photoshop to fix any distortion I don't like.
After that, I would use threshold so that the image only gives a very clean line work.
God, how I missed the hard time haha

I cant handle to draw on mouse. Does the pen tool helps?
Anything I try to draw on a mouse pad, will look like a liquid mess literally x x...
My phone doesnt have not even a decent quality to take pictures so I have to resort to scanning.
With gimp I can try to clear up the background but the lines will look as if I still drew it...
In other words I have to go over it again to clear it up and sometimes it can even take in erased sections
of the drawing or if there is some part of the drawing that isnt clear, then that will get erased x x
But...to get the image to be an image...I have to convert its files from adobe to png or something or img...
Gimp does have a feature for lines but I still have trouble to figure out how to really use it...
Ugh... I could really use a tablet to avoid all of that.

Yes, pen tool does help for mouse users.
They'll imitate stroke pressure like tablet, so it's guaranteed to bring you very clean and professional looking line art.
I still use pen tool even after having a tablet, it can create the most beautiful curves!
But yea, it's nice to have a tablet too!

Not so sure about that, but it's surely on every version of Photoshop
Don't worry, I don't really know the answer to that too haha P:
