Description
I kept misreading my own title as "water deity" so much that I initially typed in "wather" into the title-bar, goddamnProcess video from start to finish: youtu.be/dqMT2_LWaZE
this boi could get into selling his own shampoo brand
so silky
-....are there any real reptiles with hair? What does reptile hair feel like
The only thing I could find is this: i.pinimg.com/originals/f6/ba/a⦠and that's probably moss/algae
and typing in furry reptiles only showed me lizard-people with mammaries (don't question the logic there) and yes I'm disappointed in myself, I should've known better

Dude this is amazing, also best of luck on your portfolio presentation!!
I've started going to the art classes in school on wednesday mornings bc the place is basically completely empty & the teacher instantly mentioned u when I told her that I'd like to study game design & stuff, was also saying that you have amazing talent ;D

:'DDDDD aahh that makes me so happy!! Which teacher did you have there? They are all so nice once you start talking to them outside of a normal classroom setting,, if I do get accepted I'm certainly looking forward to announcing it to them!!
I don't know if you had him yet, but for example Herr Salvi, upon hearing that I wanted to try studying animation, was immediately convinced that I should shoot for Gobelins,, basically giving me the proper push to just go for it

I've only had Polfer! They're all really nice, I really appreciate them just letting me use the art room because I don't have it as a subject anymore so I can just walk in during other classes & just do my stuff & get advice^^
I've never had him but I've been told he's really good! I think it's great that he gave you enough motivation to go for it, I bet you'll do amazing!!

hey, itΒ looks ok in terms of paintig and creature design, dragon is very nice, but I would changeΒ composition, right now focal piont is on the dragons croch, thanks to red figure next to it, I would change to something like that
I also woud slightly blure reas where horizon line is , hope you dont mind my overpaint, take care keep going

Thanks for the feedback!! Rearranging the figure does make for a nice-looking change, but I think I prefer the current composition despite the riquΓ©e placement.
The composition I have going right now is based on thirds,, If you divide the length in 3 parts, the dragon's eye would be cut through by one line and the figure would be cut by the other. The focal point of any picture is usually first any visible faces, I was hoping that the curvature of the neck and torso would make for a nice leading line, leading the viewer's eye from the dragon's face to the figure.
With the figure rearranged like that, all those nice curvy leading lines lead to nowhere specific :<
Which of course is fine as well, if you value a focal element not being so close to a crotch more than a couple of leading lines,, it's absolutely a matter of personal taste!!
But you do certainly have a point with the horizont line! I'll be updating the image shortly

, I know is kind of hard to change all composition when painting is already done, stragling with it myself , anyway just for sake of practice you can play with figur position to make comp better, my idea is just firs thing which occure to me, I took anothe look at picter , and you right , dragons head certenli make a second/ first focal point of the image, when i look at it my eys constantly shifting betwen head and croch, you can also try put ven more detai on head and less ( a bit blure ) crocha area, or add some higer contras in the head , like make eye more white , darrken a sky a bit. that sort of thing,Β that might help too, one more time all the best

Feathers and pycnofibers are the closest thing to reptilian hair. Pycnofibers (from pterosaurs) would have looked like hair or fur, but was generally pretty short (tho just cause we haven't found any with long flowy hair yet doesn't mean there weren't any)
