and typing in furry reptiles only showed me lizard-people with mammaries (don't question the logic there) and yes I'm disappointed in myself, I should've known better

You don't have to worry that your dragon has hair, despite them being mistaken for them, dragons are not true reptiles.Β They have warm blood, as you can read in any book of myths or fairy tales, as the wounded dragon bleeds scalding hot blood.Β A dragon is not a big lizard, or even a late-blooming dinosaur.Β A dragon is a dragon is a dragon.

Hair in mammals are modified scales in fact, so are feathers. Since birds are in fact the descendants of a dinosaur branch which had feathers, they have kept scales on the legs. Hair seems to have appeared after some reptiles acquired some mammalian characteristics which would then give birth to the mammalian family. So, feathers would be more "logical".
But your water dragon with long luscious hair is gorgeous, so it doesn't really matter

For the ancestors of mammals, yes. The classification changed quite a bit since I learned about it and I must confess I have not exactly been up-to-date regarding the names and exactly when the different branches of what was once called "reptiles" split. But feel free to complete/correct what I said, this is what internet is for
