Surprise surprise, as soon as Fortune became a yearling, Carson purchased her. Despite having barely enough money to keep his two other horses. Oscar, the stable owner, may have lowered the filly's price a little for his long time employee, dont tell anyone that though.

A few months later and the unruly filly wasn't so unruly, well, as long as Carson was riding Thunder or by himself that is. The young mare was obsessed with her father, and imitated him at every turn. It was easy to get her to go over poles and other obstacles if Thunder was there, so Carson had developed a habit of training her from horseback.

She even imitated Thunder's dressage moves, it was easy to see she would be a very successful dressage horse when she was older.
