So here's ~GodzillaKiryu91 's trade picture. A battle between the GFW concept godzilla that he's using in his stories and Irys from the Heisei Gamera series. I'm gonna just say this up front, if you like Irys I'm terribly sorry. Seriously, its not my intention to slam him or anything, its just my interpretation of a fight between him and perhaps the most viscious and powerful version of Godzilla yet...at least in terms of accomplishments (by association).I know a lot of you guys hate both these particular kaiju because they are thin, ninjasaurus, demon or whatever. On the plus side you get to see two kaiju you hate tear each other up, whats not to like about that?
Drawing wise Godzilla was more of pain in the ass then usual. That crazy snout drove me nuts for at least 15 minutes trying to get it to work. I originally just wanted to show Godzilla slamming Irys into the floor but he ended up in the straddling claw choke position instead, nothing else was working. Its kinda hard to see each one so I'll help you out there. Godzilla is on top with his claws in Irys's throat. Irys is struggling underneath him and flailing around with his tentacles. Both monsters look pretty messed up so its fair for both sides really. Either way this one is done.

My series is Junior but he is emotionally scarred from Destroyah and he attacks Destroyah viciously in my current match, Godzilla vs Biollante, Irys and Destroyah.

I'm actually surprised more people haven't used the GFW concept art. Nice job as usual and I love the idea of these two fighting it out.

It would certainly be an interesting match. Mad fighting skills mixed with the usual Gamera Universe style of gore and you got yourself something flashy and rather epic.
People don't use the concept that much since apparently its viewed as thinner than a Godzilla should be, more demonic than a Godzilla should be, and probably a managery of other things. I think its pretty unique personally. May not have a lot of depth to his character but he's still kinda cool.

Definetly an interesting fight.
Several of the GFW concepts are quite a bit thinner than the typical. The movie version itself my be the thinnest actual movie Goji (definetly for a 100M Goji).

Thanks and your welcome. I could stare at the picture for hours. It is pure awesomeness. I will put a part like that in my battle when I put it on here. Godzilla kinda massacres Irys after he knocks out Destroyah, but all he does is an energy beam battle like in Godzilla Unleashed.

I kinda figured Iry's energy absorbtion abilities and bladed appendages would be a factor in fight regardless of opponent. We are talking about a kaiju that forced Gamera to blow off his own hand.
To sum up what happened in this particular illustration, Irys and Godzilla probably traded a couple beams before moving into close combat. Irys, being a degree more agile, gets some cuts in on Godzilla. Godzilla is pissed and recklessly charges, only to get impaled in the leg by a defensive Irys. Irys attempts to siphon energy from Godzilla through his arm blade but is forced to pull out after a near fatal blast at point blank range. Irys goes for Godzilla's face and gashes him across the snout, the second strike isn't so effective as Godzilla catches it with his teeth. Godzilla then uses his breath while he's got a hold of the blade and nearly blows it in half. Irys shreiks in agony over his mutilated limb and attempts to fly. Godzilla isn't letting him get away and pounces on Irys, pinning him to the ground beneath his feet. Godzilla throttles Irys with his massive claws as Irys frantically tries to get him off, even blasting him with his tentacle beams. Godzilla snorts in annoyance and use's his bladed tail to sever one that tries to spear him in the back of the head. With both opponents bleeding, Godzilla roars in Irys's face right before blasting his head off at point blank range with his nuclear breath. A crater and a smouldering stump being all thats left.
Thats roughly how I saw the fight going down. If your going to do a semi agile Godzilla, use what you got. He still finishes him off with his beam but he does it in a execution like style that is probably much more entertaining.

CanI use that? If I can I will change it a little bit, because Irys does absorb a bit of Godzilla's energy and gets his atomic breath and regenerative ability. This is awesome, and I will be sure to give you credit if I can use it.

I'd love it if you'd use that as part of your fight sequence. Though I wonder how Irys would use the breath, he technically doesn't have a mouth 
I could give it a go some time. Writing some battle always leads to more ideas later.
Irys is a funny creature. He flys via a double set of membranes that fill the gaps between his tentacles as well as organic jets on his back. It looks like he's got four triangular sails billowing out and keeping him aloft. Its a rather mystical and eerie scene where he flys. Here's a link [link]

Okay. First of all he is a snake. He has had been in my mind for quite a while actually. First version of him was a space monster with two forms and the newer one is a demon. Both have differences but the demon is his current incarnation and I doubt I will look at the other again, except for some of his designs. Which would you like to know about first?

No idea. I had a few different names for the big snake, one was The Serpent, Serpentira, and then Count Kitri. I asked my brother if he had a good name and he came up with Akage.
Okay, this one isn't as imaginatie as the first, but he is more understandable.
1.He is 120 meters long.
2.He has blood red skin.
3.He can gain the abilities of whatever monster he eats.
4.Normally he spits electricity, but that is just for now.
5.He has massive wings.
6.He has arms so I am not sure if I can classify him as a snake.
7.The one hand is a normal three fingered hand with normal clawws.
8.The other has Freddy Cooger(I think that's how you spell his name) like claws.
9.The tip of his tail has SpaceG like spikes on them.
10.He has a black line running the length of his body from his eyes to his tail.
What do you think? Any suggestions? Remember he is still in progress. Next I will give you his story.

Sounds like a pretty great concept. I'd really play up the demon angle with maybe extra mouths or eyes or whatever on him. Snakes are pretty generic creatures, seen one seen them all. Being serpentine is a great start and gives you a solid base to build from. Just making him a snake though is pretty boring monster-wise. It'd be like the movie 'Anaconda' except bigger.
He actually sounds a lot like a satanic version of Reptilicus, which for all intents and purposes is a mutant dragon. Names are also a funny thing, they mean different things depending on how they are used. Akage sounds very japanese, without a culutural tie in its just kinda hanging there. Count Kitri is actually a damn cool name, providing he has the intelligence to make that name work. Being a demon that can easily be arranged. 'The Serpent' is a tad generic but carries that omen like nature that fleshs out evil characters. A little playing with a title like that could have good results. Serpentira is both generic and feminine, it feels rather bland. Though the 'tira' suffix can be added to anything else and you got something awesome, providing he was a 'she'.
One last thing would be go into some detail as to his eating and power absorbing process. Does he eat their souls and gain their specific abilities or does the entire body have to absorbed? The first is token demon fare and the latter is a potential weakness/balancing item since snakes often feel sluggish and are vulnerable while they digest their meals.

Reptilicus? Never seen the movie. He is a Japanese demon from the time of Mothra. You think I should call him Count Kitri? He is a smart monster, but he is also very vicious. The tira part was because he used to be a she when I first thought of him.
Yes he eats souls, I just wasn't sure how I would do that. I got an idea now though. When he knocks out or kills his opponent he uses his scythe hands and stabs them into his opponent and rips out their soul. Then he opens his mouth and a second tongue comes out that is shaped like a hose, and it sucks up the soul. Also he eats human souls in very much the same way, just he needs to slash the claws through them. Also he can use one of the souls as sort of a recovery thing. If he loses a limb or "dies" he can heal by using a soul he's eaten before.

Spines are a tad cliche, I'd imagine more crazy shit like fingers sprouting off of him.
Reptilicus is one of those B movies you just have to see to believe it. All that hype and it came out pretty bad. Director had no idea what he was doing I think. Monster is still pretty iconic as far as monsters go.
Counts are viscious as well as classy. Dracula anyone? Akage pretty much translates to 'something-shadow'. That has animu fanboy written all over it, it also sounds a tad heroic if I say so myself. Count, Lord, Duke...either way your walking away with power.
Soul eating process sounds about right. Maybe you could send the story via note or something.

Tentacles, fingers, anything but spikes. If they have to be spikes, make them something unique like calcified ram horns or something. He's a demon so making him as visualy jarring as possible is essential. Just don't make the spikes the old solid talon fashion. Its been done to death and everyone else's serpent monsters already have them. Set him apart from the crowd.
Reptilicus was almost as laughable a movie as The Giant Claw, which was ridiculess in terms of both dialog and monster effects. But it was in color and had a good concept. They just failed to think it all through like they should have. Especially considering they had the entire town they were shooting it in supporting them at the time. It was an embarassment to American cinema and it made American film makers look like jackasses. Its still a note worthy movie to watch, just to know what NOT to do in a monster movie.

Its American, a remake could only make it better. They really couldn't do him any worse.
By calcified ram horns I mean fossil looking, segmented, sharp spires that curve slightly. Elbow spikes are always cool. I still vote for fingers

Oh, okay. I started redrawing him and I gave him 8 eyes. I am still working on him and right now I am doing the wings. They are being a major pain though. I can't seem to get them right. Plus, I can only draw things from the side. Where do you think the fingers should be?

More like famous as in notorious. At least among kaiju circles, general public hardly knows he exists. Except for Denmark, I don't think they'll ever get over that embarassing use of their city.
Well fingers are on hands so he'd probably have arms right? There's usually an anchoring point for the wings and limbs, usually a chest of sorts. Just make sure your arms are under your wings and your wings are coming out of his shoulders and you should be fine.
