Here is even more head ideas for everyone's favorite lava monster. I swear those guys at Pipeworks must have been on crack or something when they thought up these poll kaiju. Now that I've got this through my system, I was able to finally draw up the final SD verison. You might see it later this week. I've spent all the friggen time as I'm gonna take with this bastard in terms of design.Notable versions include:
-the Neo/Hybrid: more Neo, more teeth.
-the Gape Jaw: Neo/Hybrid with a circular jaw that leaves a small opening where the cheeks would be.
-the Lamprey: Gregole's suggestion of making Obsidius more of a sucker face.
-the Graboid: Kinda like those giant tunneling worm things.
-the Fossil: What if Obsidius was more ancient relic than elemental?
-the Eye Core: Neo/Hybrid with a demonic eyeball right inside his mouth. I was REALLY bored.
-the Visor: lack luster idea of making his head like a helmet.
-Millenium: He's reason we're here in the first place...
-Neo: A good step forword, even though his jaw looks like a shovel.
-Plate Face: DinoHunter2's version of what Obby should look like, kinda threw that in there. He's in the upper right corner there.

I'm loving the neo and the millenium versions,I could imagine godzilla fighting this guy and his head would rival that of biollantes!And worst of all if he were to try to engulf godzilla,there would be a searing pain as the red hot magma touches godzillas skin.

Being that Godzilla was trapped in a volcano for a number of years and stuck in a iceberg for about as long (not to mention that glacial divide in the beginning of Final Wars), Godzilla's greatest enemies seem to be either things that are really F'ing hot or really F'ing cold. Obsidius pretty much 'is' a walking volcano and that presents Godzilla with a number of problems. He can't scratch him all that well, he doesn't have a multitude of internal organs to take advantage of, any damage he does do can be easily repaired by Obsidius consuming his enviroment, atomic breath largely makes him hotter though it does have enough concussive force to blow chunks of him away, and finally Obsidius literally has the strength of a creature of feels no pain and can spit liquid magma. Few things in nature are hotter than that. My hybrid version can do the Biollante thing even better since he can actually open and close his mouth and it has teeth.

And it would be soo much better than the version they have in the game,a maw that doesn't open or close and can't do anything but spew magma.

The eye core thing reminds me of Sauron. All of them look really cool, my friend.

I thought that to when I drew it. It'd be an interesting cross over, what with Sauron using Obsidius's body to wreck havoc all over Middle Earth. I'd pay money to see that

Well, from what I can infer, you've already got it taken care of, but I'm liking the different takes here. Some of them out there, but... they feel right.

He's weird one to be sure. I got a little theory concerning the Neo's look and how it ties to his origins and Krystalak. I'll touch on that later when I submit him. In the mean time, we got all these crazy heads to look at
