I must say, these abstract animals are fun to do! Anyway, my abstract interpretation of the Great Horned Owl.Just to inform everyone this is not my usual style, in fact it's probably as far as you can get from my more realistic pieces. I think some people are a little confused.

It's not the tool, but the way you use it! If you can do it in pencil, you can do it in pen

YOU DID THIS WITH A BALL POINT PEN!!!! Amazing!!! Its so full of depth and the proportions are perfect, even though you did it in abstract shapes and patterns!!! The dark lines of the pen create so much movement and you got a lot of variation in light and shading! very cool!

You are a genius if you can use a ball point pen like that!!! Its not sketchy looking like many other ball point pen drawings are!

Thanks, I'm glad you think so! I've always found pens with ball tips allow better control over pressure sensitivity than pens with felt tips. The only thing I don't like about ball points is that two different brands of black/blue etc can actually be different shades >.<

YAH!!! its so weird! you have to be really careful about using the same brands right? although the different shades might be an interesting effect! it would look like there was a lot of color maybe!
