The four black figures are ancient souls of the ancient rock, they are symbolise memory of ancestors. Twins are very similar but they are always different in temperament. You are very attentive to details, I'm glad you have noticed these things Thank you Audra!
We have very hot weather, May is very similar to July!

Much Love

Dmitry-thank you for letting me in on the artist's details, I feel good about that! I love your works so much. I notice a lot on your art, more than I do on a lot of others, I don't know why, but yours always 'speaks' to my heart and eyes!

Sorry it's so hot for you, when will it begin to cool down there?

It seems many people think Russia is a country of eternal cold, but it is not so In my region is very hot summers and cold winters. An air conditioner is a very good helper during three hot months.

I'm so glad you like to watch my artworks! Thank you Audra!

I love this series of paintings Dmitry! I think the focal point for me here is the brown structure in the middle, it seems to be pushing upward towards the mirror, it's almost like mans origins in the primordial ooze. The two figures, alike but different, man and woman maybe? I perceive the fruit to be their conciousness. It's almost like a cycle. And I have noticed that in this series there are a lot of upward lines and patterns, almost like a message being sent to the universe...Excellent!

Thanks for the interesting comment! I really like to read your interpretation of these symbols and images. I can see something new in my works.

The figures are ancient creatures from the distant stars, honestly I didn't think about their gender, it just giants who connected with great mirror and universe and protect it. You are right, they are a part of the great circle of life. By the way, assotiation with a primordial ooze have the sense. I like it

Happy Valentine's day! I hope you have a great time

Aseamlessbonds In reply to retransmission [2011-02-16 00:29:08 +0000 UTC]

It's a pleasure Dmitry! There is always so much to see and think about in your pictures And it's really cool if it makes you see more in your work

I can understand that, I think it's because I have a very symmetrical mind. Seeing the two giants which are symmetrical in shape and size but have different patterns, my mind automatically thought different genders. Well that central pillar almost looks as though it is moving, and with the earth colour and people in the pattern, it was my first impression....

I find this so interesting! I like to watch a lot of archaeology and history documentaries, and I often think that interpretations of ancient ways must sometimes be wrong, because there are so many ways to interpret these pictures and symbols, I don't think a modern man can possibly know the mind of someone from so long ago. And now I read the interesting comments on your pictures, and it just cements that belief in my mind. And I think the mystery gives them more beauty and interest

Thank you!!! A very quiet day for me, but that's ok

Ancient artifacts are full of mysteries, I like the theory of ancient astronauts but many modern interpretations of images, sculptures and frescoes just a figment of human imagination. You are right about comments on pictures, all see different things but the truth is somewhere in the middle. In fact, I like to read these interpretations because sometimes I find something new for myself.

Thanks for your interesting comment

Aseamlessbonds In reply to retransmission [2011-02-18 04:45:30 +0000 UTC]

I agree I think modern interpretations just show how complicated the modern mind is, it likes drama and ritual Like Stone Henge, for years it has been taught as being the place to greet the summer solstice, that is what is still taught. And yet not so long ago one simple thought and an archaeological find showed that it is more likely to be for greeting the winter solstice, the simple thought. to greet the summer you would go up the approach and then turn around....to greet the winter you go up the approach and are facing in the right direction....you don't enter a place of worship and then turn to face the door. simple I know which I believe is right, the winter solstice would have been far more important to ancient man I think. Winter was a battle that most of us can't begin to comprehend.

You are always very welcome Dmitry! Your work is more than visually inspiring!

It something new, I didn't hear this theory about Stone Henge. It sounds interesting and fresh for me. Who knows, maybe winter solstice have been more important for ancient ones because this season is really most difficult for people. But the Europeans do not even imagine how cold in Russia during winter time

Hope you have a warm winter day my friend

Aseamlessbonds In reply to retransmission [2011-02-28 20:50:23 +0000 UTC]

I hope that you can watch this, it's the latest theory about Stone Henge, and a larger henge called Durrington Walls.[link]
They have made connections between the two, and think they were tied together in a midwinter ceremony for the dead. It's very interesting If you can't then this explains it [link] I can't imagine it Colder than I can imagine it makes me think, even more strongly that it would be most important to celebrate the coming of the time when man can plant grain and the animals are reproducing, it must have been like the world coming back to life again, very magical.

Have a lovely week Dmitry! And I hope that it warms up for you soon!!

retransmission In reply to Aseamlessbonds [2011-03-04 08:36:10 +0000 UTC]

Unfortunately, both videos are not available in my country but I checked some information about Durrington Walls. This place looks very interesting and reminds me a bit of Arkaim in Russia. Ancient builders used the circle in the both in both cases. In my opinion it symbolizes three important elements of human life : birth, death, rebirth. Planting seeds, animals/human reproduction, etc is a part of great circle and universe. Maybe these cultic places just a model(reflection) of something powerful and absolutely inscrutable for a human mind...

Thanks for the interesting info as always! Hope you have a great day Delice

Aseamlessbonds In reply to retransmission [2011-03-08 13:04:57 +0000 UTC]

Ohhh that's sad, well in short, they are part way through a 10 year excavation of Durrington Walls, and are sure that it was connected to Stonehenge by the river Avon, it flows past both sites, and they both have pathways leading to the river. They have found archaeology at Durrington that shows feasting, analysis of seeds etc put it in the winter season, and dendro dating show that both henges were built at the same time. what they believe is that they celebrated the life of their ancestors at Durrington, and then floated the cremated remains down river to Stonehenge to see them off into the afterlife. They found that even today in primitive cultures Wood is associated with life, and stone with the afterlife. And it pin points the time as the winter solstice, because at Durrington you can only see the winter sunrise on the solstice, but not the summer one. It's all so interesting

You are very welcome Dmitry! I hope that you are having a great week Sweetie!

Thanks for the interesting and new information about these sacred places. I always try to imagine these ancient rituals in my mind. I am amazed by the fact that the ancient ones had great knowledge about our world and nature. Even the simple things had great meanings and connection with supernatural world.

Have a great weekend Delice

My mind is not all there yet... so bare with me.

The part of this that makes the most impact for me is the center. It reminds me of a termite mound or an ancient burial ground with layers & layers of ancestors bones buried/ layed to rest in (generations) eons of time. While the guardians keep their silent, motionless watch, crystals or diamonds grow in deep caverns on either side marking the place as Holy.

Love the fruit (cacti) that grown on their head, as it is a symbol of re-birth.

I meant an ancient burial ground of ancient ones but your assotiation with a termite mound sounds much better and philosophically. Probably, our world in the eyes of the Creator is like a termite mound, anyway this idea have a sense... glad you like the cacti there!

I hope you well Gloria

What do we reflect? The guardians you mention of seems like allowing your conscious to be your guide. We can reflect our conscious from within and without or simply reflect our thoughts.
Really like this. The form in the middle seems like a tree, but then it seems more like a bumpy mountain where humans are dragged within its ways. All the details make this composition mysterious in its own ways. It seems like it is telling a story.
