I did this as an experiment to see just how close I could get to the show’s original style; most of this is just a screencap from “Good Old Sheldon”. with one very…obvious exception. I have tried to stay away from creating OCs, but I liked the challenge of creating myself in the show’s style, and I figure as long as I don’t go overboard it’s fine. That’s the reason why I tried to stick with a more realistic version of myself than an idealized (read “thinner”) version.

The first step in the process was to remove Sheldon from the image, which required the clone stamp and a lot of patience; that equation in particular was the hardest aspect, since I had to consider how to complete something that was never completely visible. Then, after creating my character in Flash as I usually do, I added some texture to my outlines using the Ripple effect in Photoshop, and then some blur (“More Blur,”specifically) and noise to simulate the quality of the original screenshot.
