As the tubes gushed more glue down on the trapped heroes, they felt themselves being lost completely to the sticky substance. Batman remained stoic but he looked like some kind of faceless monster. The glue was so thick and heavy he was amazed he could breathe through it. He could barely hear anything but the reverberations of every stuck movement. The Flash was no better. You could see a very slight outline of his nose in the glue, but no more than that. He was almost being buried by the stuff.The Trickster had plans for the two heroes. Eventually the outer layer of the glue would dry out. It would retain is gelatinous structure but it would no longer be sticky. He could cut the statues of the heroes from their gluey base and keep them as trophies, household objects. He decided Batman would make a good hat stand, with the notches his ears have created, and the Flash would be a fantastic footrest. The two heroes moaned almost silently at their predicament. They could just about be heard in there, and there was no way out at this stage.
