No one know that Officer Melissa was one of The City's superheroine, Merlin . Most people thought that she had super power, but actually, all of her super abilities were come from the suit and equipment that her late mother build.

Merlin's suit was made of made of special materials that can withhold armor piercing bullets, making her more or less bulletproof. Some electrical and magnetic system was built into it that enhanced the wearer's muscle, giving her an apparent enhanced strength, especially when punching, throwing, and kicking. The cape had a built-in anti-gravity system seamed into the cloths that can allow her to fly and hover in the air to some height with quite an impressive speed, a system invented by her mother herself. The mask had built in computer system that include radar, telescope, heat and infrared vision. All of these are powered with a power source that her mother also invented herself. She was also equipped herself with a gun designed by her mother, which can shoot tranquilizer, electrical shock, or grappling hook depending of what she needs. Sometimes, she also use smoke grenades to cover her entrance and exit.

All of those equipment was stored and maintained in what she called as "The Merlin's Nest", a hidden underground lair that her mother built in the basement of her old family house. The Merlin's Nest housed quite an impressive number of cutting-edge equipment and security measures. One of them was a computer system that (secretly) connected to various governments database, on top of its own archive, and capable to access or even hack into various computer system around The City. It also has auto-maintenance system for the equipment and the Nest itself, so Merlin doesn't really need to do day-to-day routine of maintaining them.

Due to The Nest having separate grid, including its own geothermal power source and life support system, The Merlin's Nest is virtually undetected from the outside. Melissa a.k.a Merlin can use it as a safe place to plan her "night activities", to treat her wounds, or simply just to rest.

And that's how Merlin can continue to keep up against the criminals in The City.

This is quite a minimalistic design of an HQ... I don't have a lot of props or time to make a grand Batcave-style model But I hope it's enough lol Maybe one day I'll even include the garage to store vehicles, something like Merlinmobile or Merlinbike or Merlincopter lol (need a better name for that or maybe I shouldn't need to considering Merlin already can fly ). I probably wouldn't write too much involving Merlin's Nest, just know that it exist lol
