Detective Olivia had just came out of her office when Officer Melissa arrived.

"Officer Melissa reporting, ma'am," greet Melissa.

"At ease," said Olivia. "You are Officer Melissa from Patrol, correct?"

"Yes, ma'am," said Melissa. "Chief told me to accompany you to The Central District."

Olivia looked at Melissa for a while, thinking, and then asked with suspicious tone, "Officer Melissa... you aren't moonlighting as masked vigilantes in The City, are you?"

"What? No!" said Melissa, surprised by the question. "Isn't that forbidden now?"

"Yeah, of course...," said Olivia. "My apologize, I am not intending to accuse you or something. You just look like one of those masked vigilantes on the wanted poster."

"Sure, sure, ma'am, it's fine...," said Melissa despite some cold sweats running through her skin.

"Okay, enough about that," said Olivia. "Let get to the car."

"Excuse me, ma'am, is it just the two of us?" asked Melissa, still quite uncomfortable after Olivia's point-blank question earlier.

"Indeed," said Olivia. "Why, is there a problem?"

Melissa, who actually would like to avoid going alone with one of the most well-known detective inspector in the precinct, just replied, "No, no, ma'am. I'm just curious about where we are going...."

"We are not apprehending a suspect or executing a warrant. I am just going to look at some CCTV recording over there for my case, and I need another set of eyes," said Olivia. "An entire squad of officers would be unnecessary."

"Oh, okay, ma'am."

"If there is nothing else, let's get going."

Hopefully, there will be no more trouble.
