" Gooood morning, my man!" The Boss suddenly appeared in front of Daisy.

"Oh, Boss!! It's good to meet you know! Let me introduce you to our new friend from the city council," he then whispered, "she helped us to get the permit we needed, for a little 'contribution' of course!"

"Oh, reaaaally??" said The Boss with his creepy smile.

"I'm sorry, who's this...?" Daisy, creeped out by The Boss' grin, asked.

"This is my Boss!"

"'Boss'?" Daisy confused. "But I thought you're the CEO of this company?"

"Well, I am," said him, "but this company is also one of the hidden subsidiary of TheBoss International. You know, for evading tax, creative accounting, and stuff."

Daisy kind of surprised. Not only because that didn't come up during her research about this company, but also because how nonchalantly he said that this company was just a part of another shady company.

"Sooo, my dear pretty lady," said The Boss, "Did you said you're from the city council in charge of our much needed permit?"

Daisy keep herself up. "Yes, sir. I'm very much happy to-"

"That's funny. Because I was just having lunch with another higher up of the city council, and we already got our permit!" said The Boss.

Daisy tried to keep her face straight. "Oh, there might be some mixed up. I'll definitely check it-"

"And I also suuuure that I never see your picture in the list of city council officer!" said The Boss. "I would know, I have a loooooot of friends there!"

Daisy knew she was screwed. Trying to keep herself calm, she's trying to cut this short.

"I'm sorry, it seems that I can't cooperate with your company," said Daisy. "I'll take my leave-"

But The Boss obstructed her path.
