As a superheroine and also scientist herself, Luna Midnight would only believe in something that she can observe herself and/or peer-reviewed properly. Hence why when she witnessed by herself, how these things appeared to be rising from nothing, she had no choice but accept that Creatures of Nightmare exist. Fortunately, these creatures can still be defeated like any beast: by beating them to pulp.

And Luna Midnight appeared to do well against them. At least until their summoner appeared with a big nasty sword.
