Description Another tutorial! This time, it's for VCV UTAUs.

Lots of copying and pasting from my previous tutorial.

EDIT:
... This tutorial just got withdrawn from an UTAU group that I'm not a member of and didn't try to enter it in...
I know, that's not really relevant to the tutorial itself, but... I'm just really confused right now... o_o

how do you get rid of flags?

Sorry for the late reply! But usually you can get rid of red flags by right clicking on the note, selecting envelope, and then pressing "normal". If that doesn't work, you can just manually pull the red dots apart from each other and put them in a correct orientation. There's only an error in the first place because two or more of the dots are crossed (the dot that's supposed to be on the left is on the right and vice versa). Hopefully that makes any kind of sense

Great tutorial! Concise, easy to follow, and informative. Thanks to you I managed to figure out what the problem with my ust was.

*Raises hand* How can you get the notes to slur and add vibrato?

To add vibrato, you select the note, right click, go into pitch, and check the vibrato box. I’m not sure what you mean by “slur” though… Are you talking about pitch bends? If so, you select the note, right click, go into pitch, check the portamento box, and then next to the # symbol you can select how many pitch bend “points” you want.

OOooOoh!! It’s finished?! When are you gonna release it?! Or, are you not going to? For some reason I remember reading that you weren’t going to release it ‘cause you were gonna rerecord it or something like that…

Actually, I think I am going to release it. The recordings are months old and the pronunciation is a bit funky at times, but I know it's gonna be quite a while until I rerecord and make an ACT 2 VCV. I don't want to make you or anyone else wait that long, so I'll just release this vb ^^

Really?! Yay! I can’t wait to use it and hear what she sounds like!
I wish I could say that I’m also planning on releasing Al’s VCV bank soon, but... Not only are there a lot of unrecorded sounds, but the quality isn’t very good on the ones that ARE recorded, the pronunciation is funky, and I really don’t like the tone of voice that I used. xP So I most definitely am going to rerecord mine before I release it. And when I’m able to rerecord it depends on many factors, few of which I’m actually in control of… :I

Don't worry, I understand. It's hard to focus on recording when it takes a long time to do and there's other things preventing you from doing it. At least Al has a good CV voicebank we can work with in the meantime. ^^
I'm actually almost done mixing a cover with Miza's VCV. I might post it on Soundcloud since it'll take me a while to draw up some cover art. xD I just have to rerecord a couple sounds and the voicebank should be good to go after that.

Yeah, but I’m also putting off rerecording it because all 160 sounds that I recorded for the first one, I recorded them all without taking any breaks… And it took like six hours… So now I feel like I have to wait for the mindset of “NEVER AGAIN” to go away before I record a VCV bank again. xD
And I’ll be looking to see if you post the cover to SoundCloud! I just know that she’ll sound amazing! >w<

Thanks! I'll try to post the cover on Soundcloud today. c:
And yeah, that's understandable. It'll take some time to get enough motivation to start recording again. Recording for VCV can be such a pain xD
