Description
Just experimenting w/ sculpey. I wanted to create something smaller than a full-size sculpt because I'm getting a sample size moldmaking kit. I'll be using this guy to make my first mold.2.5" tall, wire/foil armature.
And don't worry, the next sculpture I do won't be a pit bull, or even a dog.
Wish me luck on the moldmaking! Knowing me, it will probably be a total disaster.

Sometimes having pieces without paint lets you fully appriciate the amount of deatiling in the sculpting itself-- like this piece. In the mouth, ears- the seperation on the collar. Very sweet-- and a wicked cute pit smile

Beautiful sculpture, and surprisingly the expression is more ferocious than gentle this time. Eek.

Thanks! I think he looks happy, but I can see where you're getting "ferocious" from.
Your e-mail about boxer sculptures? Yes, I got that one, and replied to it. I'm guessing you never got my reply? I can re-send it if you want.

Okay, I sent it to you again! You'd think e-mail would be more reliable than the post office, but apparently not. Strange.

Thank you. Pit bulls are really fun to sculpt... I think it's the forehead wrinkles that do it.

awesome sculpting! I'm envious of the detail you'd gotten in this! I never seem to have the patience/brain juice, to make them work out at all.

Thank you.
Patience is important, definitely.
I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to chuck things in the trash out of frustration, but I've found out that if I keep at it, most things turn out okay. I think you should keep at it if sculpture interests you.

I think you've poked me in the artistic rump...and my urges to sculpt have come back again. I think I may have to heave something from the depths of my twisted little mind...and run it passed DA at some point X3
