Description
Had this character in my head for a while now so I decided to do an initial design for a reoccurringΒ antagonist for Halona and Keedra. She is tied directly to Keedra's backstory. I'm still keeping the writing details vague in case I decide to make alterations which I've already been doing.
Formerly an elite guard for the Kharnuvian royalty, Telchandran has risen through the ranks to become one of the Empress' personal hunters- eliminating powerful pirates and rogue Kharnuvians alike within their Empire. She has now been personally tasked by the Empress toΒ find and eliminate Keedra, who was successfully framed/mind-controlled as the mastermind behind a rogue Kharnuvian/pirate operation which resulted in planetwide destruction and looting. Upon success of her mission, the Empress will make Telchandran into a Queen Kharnuvian which is the highest form in their society just under the Empress.
Armed with the prospect of a higher status and all it entails, as well as an array of robots and a team of elite troops, Telchandran scours the unregulated and unknown sectors of the galaxy in search of Keedra- who at this point has already made a habit of keeping a low profile and never staying put in one sector for too long.

This is actually an old sketch I did of what she might like as a human. I want to update the character at some point and that includes the human version- but it will more or less be based on this.

really, really great design. i like the cloak coming from the shoulder as a counterpart to the powerful arm, it balances perfectly. great job once again ^^

Sheesh, everyone is bigger than halona and keedra! they just can't catch a break can they?
so does Keedra people all hate halona's species? or is it just Talchandran

Guess not xD I'm kinda wanting them to be the underdogs throughout most of their shenanigans. They may be the apex predators in their homeworld but not exactly everywhere else in the galaxy. So they'll have to get creative or get lucky because Talchandran would stomp them in a direct one-on-one fight if she ever finds them.
The Meeks and Kharnuvians have a past. As I mentioned back here:Β fav.me/da4hks3 they came from the same world and their ancient ancestors used to eat each other. The Kharnuvians eventually evolved to a point where when fully grown, they were completely unappealing to be devoured by their Meek counterparts but they still eat their larva.Β

Sort of, as mentioned in the ref she defeated a Meek Matriarch in the past so she has both respect and contempt for them.

I've yet to actually play around with the concept, but I thought the initial idea for Keedra having an arm that could morph into weapons was cool, so I wanted it to be consistent with the rest of the species. Not all of them will have it of course.

Like is it a bio organic weapon that some can use and others can't ? Is it a learned skill or can only a select few use it ?! Do they have a tribe system like the Namekians one of warriors and one of peace keeps !? -foams and passes out - also i'm posting an updated version of Vespa tonight so stay tuned

I imagine it's biomechanic/organic, yes. What I've also always assumed in my head is that it's an ability only certain breeds are born with, such as warriors like Keedra and Telchandran. BUT, you did bring up some pretty interesting points- I'm actually really liking the idea of it being a learned skill perhaps. Like some soldiers are born with this potential and are trained to harness it as an ability instead of just automatically knowing what to do from birth. Hmm, it'll definitely give me something to think about as I work through the early stages of development!
To answer your other question: They are an empire, which is composed of a collection of Kharnuvian Queens and their hives ruled by the Empress on Kharnuva, their capital homeworld. Other minor species in their sector who chose subjugation rather than destruction are also part of it but more like protectorates. Among actual Kharnuvians, they are divided into different social classes based on their biology- such as royalty, military, and workers. So in a sense that can also be considered a bit of a caste system.
Okay, now I'm done being a windbag xD But seriously thanks for the questions, it's really got me thinking me now.
Aaaand, I can't to see Vespa! Is your old version of her uploaded on here to see? But anyway, I hope you include the info on her too, I'm interested to know more about her
