Description
I did this about 6 months ago while on summer break. This was derived from from United States Seal [link] I had pretty grim outlook for the future of my country. The eagle shot by one of it's own silver arrows fallen on a bed of olive branches as a ribbon stating "Deo fidimus" (which is the closest latin translation I could find of "In God we trust") falls from it's talons. Dramatic no?
Side notes, I realize that the "eagle" looks a lot more like a falcon, my bad. I didn't plan this out, I just wanted to draw a freak'n bird and then I was like 'hm this could be symbolic" so don't read too much into it.

This is beautiful! The feathering on the eagle, its movement, the detail on the wreath, and the shading on the arrow head... it makes me both jealous and happy. Really neat job!
Also, extra props for giving it a short and snappy Latin motto. The longer your Latin saying is, the less likely it's saying what you meant it to. ^w^'
