Description
I thought long and hard on George Orwell when I put this piece togetherusing only my last painting. They catch a lot of miscreants with all those video
cameras....so I suppose they do some good. Still, one wonders....

I like the silhouette under the center building/piece, it adds a very nice touch to it

THANKS Lyn. I'm surprised this piece
has had such popularity. IT was made from
the beginnings of a w/c painting ~ but usually
when it goes digital, it won't attract much
attention. And we all love attention!! HA HA!
Best always..

I never thought of that. You are right.
I rather was reminded of a modernist BIG BROTHER
with video lenses sticking out of every nook and cranny!!!

Thanks Eva, for featuring my work in your many galleries.
And although I was unable to locate them, I'm sure they are
there somewhere. I am truly happy you have enjoyed this piece!!!

THANKS for writing Bear. I cannot believe the
response for 'just' a digital piece. I appreciate your
luscious comments, as usual...
Best wishes for you..

THANKS very much Sarah. Sometimes the early
stages of my watercolors produce some interesting imagery,
when brought into Photoshop...most of the time they do not.
So, I go for it, when I can connect an idea to it ~ and video
surveillance certainly is a hot topic these days. Always nice
to hear from you....

THANKS Trish for your attention and FAVE!!!
There is indeed a lot of watching going on...and a lot
of criminals are caught that otherwise would go well...
UN-caught ~ like the Boston Marathon Bombers.
Busted due to video cameras. I just feel a bit uncomfortable
about the idea, as any non-criminal might feel.
HAVE A HAPPY DAY...and smile when you go into
the shopping mall!! You're on candid camera!!! HA HA...

Thanks so much Marco. Oftentimes my humble paintings, once
imported into Photoshop, have, at times, produced pieces that seem
(to me) far more interesting than the original painting. (In that sense,
I have created ~ with PS ~ a strong resilience to failure at watercolor,
which can oftentimes disappoint, to say the least.) Still, when the dust
has settled, people on dA, FAR AND AWAY, prefer that I just keep on
banging away at original W/Cs. I do what I can do, and am glad I'm
not making a living at it!!!
Great to hear from you...

Interesting you should mention George Orwell as I immediately thought 'Steam Punk' when I saw the thumbnail. I was thinking more HG Wells I really love this Richard

THANKS, Lawrence. You have such a dignified name. I confess, I have heard
of Steam Punk but don't have a clue as to what it is.
Now, I must respond to you other message...

Steampunk is a subgenre of speculative fiction, usually set in an anachronistic Victorian or quasi-Victorian alternate history setting. It could be described by the slogan "What the past would look like if the future had happened sooner." It includes fiction with science fiction, fantasy or horror themes.Β
I think this says what I have been trying to put together for ages. It is a strange genre to try to describe

YOU did a great job of describing it.
I'm going to COPY/PASTE your definition
into my iMac word processor program.
And afix it to the wall. THANKS Lawrence!!!

PS I learned something NEW today. Thanks to you, sir!
