If I could click a 'LOVE!' button on this one... I would have 10 mins. ago.

Nice, nice, nice!

It looks like the bell ringer is playing the sideways music! Really speaks to me.

Working hard? Or hardly workin'? Funny thing. I've been saving various and sundry color printing tests kinda like those for a while now, since I started thinking about doing some collages.

I like the brown cardboard, it's suggestive of a human form.

The color tests are great for collage. Once I started noticing them I found them everywhere.

Thanks, I saw that in the brown cardboard too. There's kind of a gestalt figure/ground thing going on there.

I see a profile of a tan fit person in there. The bell is ringing for censorship.

It is a bit biomorphic - nice read, Mr. M, thanks.

Thanks! Ha - I work at such a small scale usually, you've already sent me several years worth of scraps!

Thanks, T! Yup, this one was a pile of scrap, a glue stick, and "What fits next?"

thank you, dear! not all my notebook pieces have worked, but i think this did - i was trying to be quite free in this one.

oh, thanks, that's very nice!

there is freedom in them all, you're right. sometimes it's quite an effort to get to feeling free as i make them! if that makes sense.

Thanks, that scrap has been looking for a home for a long time.

I've also had a mild case of "Made My Last Collage" - but I think it's going into remission

I had that, too...was scrapbooking our transatlantic journies of last year just to do something...and then the pages of my 1921 volume of Edna St. Vincent Millay poems and sonnets walked over to my mariposa papers...and there are several new things in the works now that I like. I think this is just a rotten time of year. I don't remember a summer like this, with the humidity, and heat, and...well...world depression. Yuck-o. Everything feels so up in the air, and I am not an up-in-the-air type.

That's good about those pages taking some initiative. I had to tell myself I wasn't trying to make anything, just playing with some scraps and glue...

I hear you about the summer, and the state of things in general. They're up there all right - and I don't have as much faith in those who toss them up as maybe I once did.

It's downright depressing. Sort of a pervasive gloom on Business As Usual.
