I feel like I'm watching a typewriter having a nightmare on an empty stomach

Thanks - and - what a line! That sounds like something from a Richard Brautigan poem.

Partial to the colour blue i am. Like the blue in this.

More seriously textures are strong yet the design is rugged.

Overall bold and amusing.

I could do with trying to simplfy my collage colours / ideas whist not losing multiple themes and messages.

I think you have that down to a fine art.

RichardLeach In reply to All-My-Darkness [2012-10-02 23:27:13 +0000 UTC]

That's very generous and I thank you sincerely.

With almost every piece I'm tempted to add more and I try to make myself stop at the right point. Because I'm not making a picture of anything, the piece is done precisely when I say it is done - and that is the challenge of it and the great fun of it too.

Waaah! This is such fun!
I heard a little song in my head when I saw it. It went: "So mi do PATWANG!"
("Patwang" being the sound of the toast flinging itself up.) It made me giggle.

Too bad I can’t download the toaster. My daughter says we need a new one. A singing toaster -- I think you're on to something!

RichardLeach In reply to beeswingblue [2012-09-30 20:52:40 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!

They don't make toasters like they used to... my wife's parents had one that lasted about fifty years I think!

beeswingblue In reply to RichardLeach [2012-09-30 20:56:17 +0000 UTC]

My daughter complains because ours "eats" Pop Tarts. It cooks bagels fine. Go figure....

RichardLeach In reply to beeswingblue [2012-09-30 21:07:53 +0000 UTC]

I'm a bagel toaster myself but toasting a Pop Tart for as long as a bagel might not be advisable
