Description
Nice cold day here and feel very creative. I'm a fan of old pulp series and radio dramas. My favorite is Maxwell (Walter B. Gibson) Grant's The Shadow. Plus I really enjoyed the artwork on some of those covers as well as Steranko's paperback covers.I started with a hand drawn sketch with some color on it and painted the rest in photoshop.

A wonderful piece! I love the pulp-cover feel it has to it, while having a life of its own as it looks like the Shadow is about to dash into action once again!
It's very in keeping with the style of the cover art on most of the magazines, I'm very impressed and really like this.

Any time. There is so little Shadow art in this community, that it's always nice to happen across something, no matter how recent or long ago it was posted. Especially pieces of this caliber.

This is true, but all that could change with a hot franchise

I like the falsh / blur effect here, its something i have been trying to create photographically, but its very much a hit and miss technique.....
Nice work, like the energy and focus from the blur and flash

Actually I learned the technique in my digital photography class. We used it to give some stoll still photos of animal, trains, planes the feeling of motion or to intensify it. the porffessor would have argued with you his motto was "there is no hit or miss it's either you can do or you can't. In a thick german accent and than he would give a laught not unlike the shdow and add that's why (students) your here. THANKS for commenting.

I really like it! I have a black trench coat and a blck hat and a red and black scarf and when i was wearing it the other day, my friends said i looked like the Shadow. What a coincidence that i get to see my first picture of him from you not that many days after!
