As promised here is my complete step by step tutorial from my AnEx pic (I chose this drawing since it has one of the most views in my gallery. )
I'm not too sure if this is going to be helpful at all ;w; - it's quite basic and simple... and as I said it before, you may like it or not, but it's just the way I do it ;; (i hope you find something somewhat helpful... ;w;
and again..., i apologize for any of my unclear English sentences (description) and my horrible grammar/spelling mistakes.... ><
;w; there are A LOT of other mistakes. lighting, shading, etc etc.... I know i don't have much skills... so.. umm..

OMG. I think I like if without the overlay because then I get to see Rin's ORIGINAL YUMMEH SKINTONE!! The overlay obstructs the lovely view.
Of all the abs I've seen in your gallery, I think this set is the best. It's well proportioned and not too big.

Oh yes, I learned the hard way when it comes to flipping an image to make sure it looks right. Artists get so used to what they're working on that they lose the ability to see their flaws until the image is flipped around and looks like a new one. It reveals all signs of lopesidedness
Blending modes are good too, especially using things like colour dodge or linear dodge when painting flames or other self-luminous effects
