Description
RMS Mykol Sovereign was one of the ships which responded to Serenity's distress calls. She recieved and responded to the stricken liner's distress call at 01:12, at which point she was some 70 miles astern of Serenity, following a similar course.Despite a speed of 20 knots, she did not arrive on the scene of the disaster until 08:45, having made a navigation error which resulted in her heading for a position some fifteen miles to the West of where Serenity sank.
Sadly, the Mykol Sovereign had her own brush with catastrophe some four years later, when she collided with the Regal Line liner Harpy in thick fog. The Mykol Sovereign sank in twelve minutes, with a loss of 1,322 lives. The Harpy, despite suffering severe damage to her bow, remained afloat.
This is how she appeared on the night of Serenity's sinking.

Imagine if the Empress had been on the scene on 04/15/12! Actually, as the Empress was part of the Canadian Pacific Steamship company (a sister company to the Canadian Pacific Railway), her head, Mr. Charles Hays, was on Titanic that night - and was among the 1,523 dead.

She looks a bit like the Cunard line's RMS Campania & her sister, the RMS Lucania.

I like the design of this ship!
And it reminds me of the Empress of Ireland...

Thanks.
That was largely the point - the Empress was the primary inspiration.

YouΒ΄re welcome!
After comparing the two ships I saw that they looked quite similar.
