Well, it's not something a lot of schools hit on, and doing research on your own it turns into a giant hard to understand beast because very few sources actually take it down to the basics and give it to you straight. That's why I did this, so there would be an explanation without being real complicated.

*Shrug* I never had trouble. But then again, I was reading books about nuclear power since I was 10, so I guess I'm "special."

Yes. 
Our local media is terrible, even worse than the national news outlets. One paper ran a Reuters piece saying one of the Japan reactors had exploded (vs. "an explosion in the building") ... I've passed links along to the journalists I know, expressing frustration with the inaccurate information being passed along by the general media, offering this as a easy-to-understand, "user-friendly" way to learn (or re-learn) the basics, along with my request that they work up a truly informative news piece regarding our local plant(s). I've also linked this in a couple of comment boards I participate in and shared it with friends (even wrote the bit.ly link down for someone at the coffee shop) — there are a lot of misinformed folks out there (through no intention on their part), and the information you provided to me here helped *me* learn more, so I can go about my day and maybe help others be better-informed.
I'll say again — really, this is great. You present it in a simple, friendly, funny way that's easy to retain. I'm more of the "street-smart" vs. "book-smart" type, and while I don't usually have a problem with asking "why?" when I want to know more, I know there are a lot of people (and places) "out there" that don't respond to that question in a completely non-condescending way. You've done that here. I didn't feel like you thought me stupid (or "less smaht") for not (initially) knowing anything about (or understanding) the subject matter. From what I've seen these past few days, that's rare, so thank you for that, too!
