Description
Mopis are fat little insects that dwell in the forests of Lornfell! Mopis are attracted to bright flowers and sugar to eat. They are not very intelligent, and often are caught in traps and eaten by Shug Babies, Arcs, and other inhabitants of Lornfell. Mopis are commonly made into Mopi Soup, but actually they are great pollinators and spread seeds all over Lornfell. Mopis produce a purple nectar that tastes similar to honey, but Lornfall inhabitants call it Opel.

Mopis tunnel deep underground and burrow in the soil, which also is good for the soil and helps moisture reach certain areas. Mopis are bad at flying bc they are fat and their wings are tiny, but they can float anf hover. They are about the same size as a ping pong ball. Some smaller Mopis can be around the size of a regular bumble bee, and the largest Mopis are as big as a tennis ball!

Since Mopis are eaten so often, some "vegetarian" Shuggies help them out by opening Mopi Farms. Mopi farms are a lot like bee farms, and Shug Babies take on the role of a Mopi Keeper. These farms are non profit and the shuggies do it for the good of Mopi kind! Mopi Keepers do harvest Opel from the Mopis, but mostly keep it for themselves. some Mopi Keepers do choose to sell the Opel locally.

On the other hand, there are also Mopi Breeders. Mopi Breeders can be good or bad, they can run huge industries or just a local shop. The good Mopi breeders are just like dog breeders who take pride in their family of dogs. These Shug Babies treat the Mopis kindly and nourish them, and wish to sell them to other Shug Babies seeking companions! These Mopis are treated well. Bad Mopi Breeders keep Mopis in tight confines and dont let them outside enough, and only are in the business for money. Often times these Mopis are unhealthy and sad. Some Mopi breeders claim their Mopis are better and purebred, and sell for higher prices!

edit: ive decided anyone can own Mopis!! you don't have to own a Shug Baby in order to get one, in fact there will be separate adventures Mopis can go on Id like Mopis to be for everyone, feel free to make your own but remember to credit me for the species lol ((if you make some Mopis, please dont sell them and make a profit off of my species))
