Difficulty level : EasyAim : To help the user understand the dynamics of levels adjustments, the consequences of changes made to the settings, and the advantages of Non-linear, non-destructive adjustments over its Linear counterparts (Brightness/Contrast).
PS : I'm a beginner myself, and i've written this from the point of view of an amateur. I hope its simple enough to understand, but if anyone has any queries, feel free to leave me a note.

Thanks a lot for this! Been using brightness/contrast for a lot of my adjustments because I've known no other way, will deffinately try this out!

Great tips. And yes, the brightness contrast can be destructive, but although it may seem simple, when used right, it can be a great adjustment to a photo.

Nice tutorial. You kept it simple and it is vey easy to understand. This could really help out a beginner at photoshop.
