A few people have asked how I add sunbeams, or bring out the atmosphere in some of my photos, so using my latest submission [link] I made a tutorial of my work flow.The same general idea is what I use to make more pronounced sun beams, just tweaking the levels of transparency and contrast in the beams makes the difference.

I have always been told to stay well away from that gradient style and you've just shown them all who's boss. May need to put a before and after shot next to each other though, its difficult to see the subtle effect. Anyway thanks.

sweet this is a lot easier then the another tutorial I saw. They wanted me to make individual selections. I like your way better
