Some of you will no doubt recognize this one, since I posted the lineart back in 2012. Man, I honestly didn't realize it was that old by now; guess that means my Draigarowl I just posted is also three years old (I drew both of them for a boardwalk art show as examples of my work). Anyhoo, I recently updated her lineart, and I never did post her with the pencil shading. So here she is again, looking lovelier than ever, I think!For those who are new here, this is a Freyn, the bird-winged/tailed human race I created years ago. Despite the seeming genericness of that idea, they have a few cultural and physical uniquenesses that make me proud of them. ^^ Please do not use without permission, although I certainly can't stop you from sticking bird wings on your own humans; just don't steal MY species of bird peoples.

This is still one of my favorites. I love how substantial the wings look, and the lovely curve of the feathers. Drawing wings in perspective can be hard, but you really pulled it off well!
That wooden platform makes for great composition, too.

Huzzah! Thank you, it's nice to know others agree that the wings came out well; despite some minor glitches, I'm really proud of pulling off this pose, it was definitely one of my most complicated. ^^ And I've always loved that wood grain I managed there.

Lovely shading, though I've now got an inner physicist screaming at me that the pose should be more vertically braced instead of angled, don't listen to him though, always tries to ruin movie and art logic using RL logic. Still looks amazing so I'm gonna go find the other links soon, I accidentally removed the notification and I'm now fumbling around my inbox. Don't worry I'll get there

XD Yeah, inner physicists are a pain, just focus on the pretty! If it helps, it was in the comment chain under one of the recent posts of my felnim - the one w/ the farmer dude and the guy standing on his back legs, I believe.
