Description
Anguirus as an Aetosaur.
Originally based upon Desmatosuchus, which features of Riobarrisuchus/Heliocanthus, which might all be synonyms for the same creature anyways. Anguirus being an ankylosaurus never really jived with me. Even when artists give him more accurate ankylosaur features it seems a bit forced.
Paleo-artists seem to be divided on whether desmatosuchus should be depicted as literal land crocodile or a little hoggish alligator . I really like both.

good idea! It matches better with his physical charactristics, chiefly the head. And godzilla could be related to ornitosuchus.

Since Godzilla in 2014 movie is theorized to be older than dinosaurs, i believe that Ang should be an Aetosaurs in the nest movie

I can see that, and it works. Hell, made a version of Anguirus who was essentially a very heavily armored Boar Croc.
