Description
These were some character designs I did for a guy that wanted them for a series of children's activities books. I designed three characters...got paid...but then he asked for 7 more....and then the client disappeared.....After several unreturned phonecalls and emails I just gave up. Oh well, at least I have them for my portfoilo.

Several times, thats why I always have to get the money up front these days. Stiffed to many times. It happens at Comic-Con all the time, it's amazing, people get so many sketches that they forget or run out of money and don't come back

that is so frusterating! I remember a nightmare incident when i did charicatures at a wedding. I got so screwed.

The bride and groom paid me to be there...so it was free for the guests...but many of them were really rude..and expected me to take stuff home to finish it and send to them. The groom was hovering over me like a vulture too...and being controlling.....BAD EXPERIENCE...but was entertaining watching two drunks cry over someone cutting in front of them in line.

I KNOW!!!!! THAT WOULD BE GREAT!!!! iI have worked with some doosies...the worst client ever was one I actually told her to "NEVER CONTACT ME AGAIN....YOU HAVE INSULTED ME". This lady was horrible...i was working at a reduced rate as more of a donation to a positive cause...this lady worked me to death and was really rude to me in the end. The turning point was after I had designed 40 some rough sketch characters....she told me to "colorize" her son-in-law's napkin sketch. i redesigned it in my style and she chewed me out because she wanted the napkin sketch colored....NOT A REDESIGN.
i told her i wanted my payment and that she should basically get lost. UHHGG....

that is a great idea! I was not too upset about not getting the money, because I can use these guys for something. the client actually did pay for three of them, so those are his...the others are mine.
