I have always been a huge Jim Henson Fan and grew up with the Muppets. I FEAR puppets....but I LOVE the Muppets...weird.Anyways, Sam the Eagle was always hilarious. He is surrounded by all the "questionable" Muppets like Crazy Harry and Lew Zealand.
I kind of wanted to do more with Sam on this one, like have him look a little more exaggerated and tweaked.

This definitely deserved a daily deviation.
I love the use of colors, atmosphere, and a cast of obscure and overlooked characters, especially Sam the Eagle, Rizzo, Sweetums, and Crazy Harry.

And oh my god...I can't stand puppets, ventriloquist dummies in particular...but Muppets? LOVE them. The magic of Jim Henson, I suppose.

I love Sam because he claims to be cultured and whatnot, but when it comes to naming it, he falls a little short (He thinks Beethoven was a playwright.)

This is a very good characterization of the muppets, and of Sam, in particular.
To quote Sam from the Muppet Show: "Dear Sir, this show is sick and weird. There are rats here. There is a THING whistling here. I would suggest to have someone come and fumigate."
