Description
I have always been a huge Jim Henson Fan and grew up with the Muppets. I FEAR puppets....but I LOVE the Muppets...weird.Anyways, Sam the Eagle was always hilarious. He is surrounded by all the "questionable" Muppets like Crazy Harry and Lew Zealand.
I kind of wanted to do more with Sam on this one, like have him look a little more exaggerated and tweaked.

Sam's, like, the lone pillar of order here, whilst everyone else is a blur of manic energy.
Spectacular.

Another winner! The Muppets rock. I'm more of a fraggle fan myself.
What medium did you use on this? It's wonderful.

Cool! I love the Fraggles too. I have Season 1 on dvd, gotta get the others. Back in 83, I entered a contest to try to win a trip to the set of Fraggle Rock...I wish I would have won...sigh...
I had a bunch of stuffed Fraggles when I was a kid but my dogs got most of them.
I work in watercolors, my fave. What about you?

Yeah, I've been a fraggle nut since '87 when we first got HBO. I know of the contest you're talking about. I've got a magazine ad for it that I used to drool over. I've been watching my DVDs lately. There's a complete series box set out there.
Eek! I dunno if I could've survived had our dog eaten my fraggles. I've got tons of fraggle stuff now though. I'm something of a collector.
Watercolors are nice and you've got fantastic control. Most of the stuff I have here is done in marker & colored pencil & whatever's laying around.

That is cool. I used to draw the Fraggles a lot when I was a kid. I think I even drew a picture of myself with all of them when I was about 9 or 10. I think I drew myself like Junior Gorg sized with all of them being tiny.

I would mostly draw Gobo interacting with my own characters. I was in 7th grade when I finally got to watch the show.

I knew of the show before 7th grade but my parents didn't get HBO until... '86 I think it was.

I have a few HBO fraggle ads on dvd... and, I believe a few of the HBO ads for the show are included in one of the Fraggle Rock DVD sets.

I can barely watch TV anymore. I got that converter box thing just because, but the cool thing is that I wound up with 3 PBS stations and one shows Bob Ross twice a week right when I get home from work.

HA! Me too. We sit in the living room with our daughter running around on weekends and watch all those PBS travel and cooking shows. I like Ming's Kitchen (not sure what the actual show title is)

A few weekends ago, they had an entire day devoted to Canada. I've always been interested in Canada but it's rare to see much about it.
And those cooking shows have helped me grasp wine tasting and 7 course meals and stuff.

Yeah, I figure the cheesehead thing could get annoying. There's an episode of this Canadian show called " Corner Gas " where an American tourist winds up on the show & the local idiot refers to him as " cheesehead " because he's a Wisconsin-ite.
