I know it's not, but it almost looks as if the drive section could be latched on to a cargo container. Sort of a warp capable work-bee or cargo shuttle. I have thought of many designs to effectively move cargo containers from orbit to surface in the pre-TOS era. One never sees a space elevator at work in early Star Trek like ST:E prior to transporter technology. I don't recall the animated series very well. I had to look Aqua-Shuttle up on the net. Still it's a great image, though at first I wasn't sure if that's water or desert.

Its still good to see another TAS design being done - that series was underrated in many ways

So who dubbed this "El Nino", anyway?? It's definitely a "New Testament" name

Apparently its background info, someone at Paramount/Filmation thought up the name - I read it a few years back on an article on the Animated series, trouble is for the life of me I can remember WHERE

It sounds to me like something that sprang out of Okuda's need to name everything for the Encyclopedia. I'm pretty sure Filmation never named it.... and "El Nino" didn't become a popularly recognized name until the 90's.

Hmm, funny enough the last edition of the encylopedia I had DIDN'T include TAS - its only recently become canon again, but I wouldn't be surprised it was him
