UPDATE: Hey all check the date I posted this, about a full year before Miles was created. I actually pitched this idea to Kevin Grevioux when he was writing for Marvel but sadly he didn't think they would ever go for it. Just came out of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse and it was everything I had envisioned nearly 10 yrs ago. It was just an idea whose time had come. Bravo.However, I will be reposting this every #spidermanday just cause

WOW!!!! DUDE!!! I have to say, this is truly brilliant & inspiring work! I love your style, & I love the idea that someone actually went ahead & drew Danny Glover as ol Web Head, especially with a new suit (which coincidentally looks better than ANY of the new suits)! You NEED to do a web com featuring this version of Spidey! Or propose it to MARVEL. There was a short lived series about an Indian Spider Man, which was decent, a while back.

Love this design. It's less campy, more spider-ish than the current costume.

Really dig this, especially given the fit certain segments of fandom had over the push to get Glover the role. Sometimes all you need is the right visualization to show that something CAN work despite not being what people are used to.
While I think I'd have preferred a red mask rather than the black one here, this is a real bang-up job overall.

And yeah, Donald Glover would make an excellent Peter Parker, and is easily funny enough to do the random quips Spiderman is famous for in a great manner.

Yeah, I can see that very well. And while I think the costume design is good too, I think that if you used a very dark blue instead of black and changed the head to red, it would better. The current one works as is however. Good casting choice, I can easily see him in the role.

I'm liking what I see, but my only real issue is the eyes on this Spidey costume. They just look too jagged, sharp and creepy to be part of the
re-imagining of an endearing American icon. Maybe its just me, but I think it'd be kind of funny if Spidey's eyes were shaped more like the glasses Glover is wearing in your sketch on the left, to carry a visual torch from one identity to the other.

hmm ah no, if you look at the way McFarlane drew Spidey in the late 80's early 90's he constantly made his eyes bigger and usually the face was covered in silhouette. I always loved that look cause it made him more creepy lol I've always felt Spidey should ride the line visually speaking from villain to hero, cause really, spiders are kinda creepy. ek. lol thx for the reply.
