Description the Heavy Duty Character in GI JOE. We are going with what was the RoadBlock character (heavy machine gunner) but Hasbro lost the rights to that name. so they are calling him Heavy Duty.

Not sure why, there is already a Joe named Heavy Duty. Its confusing, but anyway, here is the design.

Its funny because Roadblock and Heavy Duty are actually cousins. The .50 cal is cool looking and since the G.I. Joes are fictional characters, set in a fictional world, we can assume that the weaponry is going to be slightly different. So keep up the good work!

lol its funny because Heavy Duty and Roadblock were actually cousins. But i like the picture, and the i am in the military and i think that since the G.I. Joes are fictional anyway, it doesnt really matter how realistic the weaponry is lol.

Actually, heavy duty is a whole other character, and they use him more. Great work by the way.

He's my favorite of the batch. He's a character that you either get 100% right or 100% wrong, and you're firmly on the win side.

I never end up drawing belt-fed heavy machine guns because all the bullets drive me crazy.

Uhm... I'm no weapons expert, but what model is that rifle supposed to be? Where's the firing / trigger mechanism on that thing? (I'm guessing the handgrip on the butt end that you have latched downward, touching the 'ground' in the pic, but there's no trigger button.) And every MG of that nature I've ever seen has a dual handgrip, not single.

As far as the drawing itself is concerned, very nice.

lol, Ive caught so much crap from that gun from various military guys. Yeah its kind of a made up version of the Browning 50 cal

I was basing it off of the toy design of the gun, which actually doesnt make any sense either. And Ive seen similar guns on other toys aswell. So Im not sure why that is.

Rest assured the gun will be drawn properly in the books. This was my first take on it, and Im learning alot more about guns as I go along with this.

You know I was wondering if why they chamged his name to heavy duty. I think I remember heavy duty but was he from the orignal show or the DIC version?

( _ _) They lost the rights?

This is a great picture, by the way. I shall continue to refer to him as "Roadblock" in my head. Fifteen years of habit shall not be broken easily.
