This news is a bit old, but recently heard.I never realized that out of the Victoria Alucard's coffin.
This is not a mistake, I'm sure they did not err in something so obvious.
It was purposeful and is a great subliminal message AxS , I think so. What do you think?

The implied message, which technically is not subliminal but rather innuendo, is that Seras was transported in Alucard's coffin because Alucard and Seras are a ship of . . .some variety.

YAY!! AxS all the way!! (not that PxS isn't bad either though) Heh, in the original anime did you see that Alucard kissed Seras when he first turned her and was much nicer than in the OVA, though they do have their moments in the OVA too. But I just think that there are so many more messages in the OVA and the anime not to at least suspect. This might not be true but some one else commented that in the manga Alucad went all crazy after he heard that they were also searching for a female before killing the other guards so... it shows some definite proof that there was something more than just the whole mentor/student relationship going on there

Actually, I think he licked the blood off of her face, I'm not positive though. Besides that, the manga really doesn't make it clear if Alucard is interested in Seras, Integra, or anyone else. It does seem to be hinted that he sees Seras as more of a little sister or daughter, but I can definitely tell why so many people think they are lovers. That's just what I understood, my opinion, ja? Sorry if my Englisch isn't very good. ^^'

Actually it is an error. The OVA is not perfection incarnate. For example in OVA II when Alucard first shot Luke Valentine it showed him using the Jackal (The Black one) While in the Manga he used the Casul (The Silver one) If he actually used the Jackal in the Manga and this was not a mistake then Luke would've been dead then and there as it would hinder his regeneration, as the Jackal should, while later in the fact when he -actually- uses the Jackal Luke's legs go flying and Luke could not regenerate the wounds as the Jackal was made specifically for stopping regenerators like Luke and Anderson. Not to mention AxS is highly improbable as Alucard literally stole her life. On a side note the only Alu pairings that make sense to me is AxQ and to a lesser extent AxI

My theory is that this scene was made to reimbruse another hinted AxS-scene that was in the manga but not in the OVA.
In the manga Seras was sleeping in her own wooden coffin and sent to South America on a smuggling ship with Alucard's coffin and their guns (Alucard himself flew on a plane XP).
Anyway in the OVA there was a scene left out when the police force raid the hotel and enter their room. In the manga the police team break into the hotelroom, but at first the room seems to be empty. One of the men finds Alucard's and Seras' coffins and the crew starts to wonder about them.
At this Alucard appears and orders them to step away from his coffin. The policemen shoot him to bits and and start disgussing that their superiors can deal with the overkill case.
One of the men points out that the job is only half done since there should have been a woman too. Another officer orders the rest of the team to spread out and find the woman, then to shoot her down on sight like they did with Alucard.
Only after this Alucard calls them as hounds, revives himself and butchers the team.
In the OVA, the police team just crashed in, shot Alucard, Alucard called them dogs, revived himself and slaughtered the team.
Just what I noticed and think.

you may or may not already know since it's like half a year since you posted this but......
Alucard forced Seras in his coffin. He tricked her together with Walter, so that she could safely travel over the ocean. In Hellsing, vampires cannot cross flowing water, Integra mentioned this in the OVA where Alucard goes to the marine ship, and in her own coffin, Seras wouldn't have been able to. However, in the coffin of her master, which really is imbued with his power and what not, she could survive the trip. I believe the manga explains things better.
Then again, it has been a while since I last read the manga so I might have some things mixed up

Alucard does not talk to Walter about cheating Seras Victoria, at least not in the manga Brazil. But yes, she must sleep in her coffin. Fact easily seen in the manga, since the weakest vampires can not cross the ocean without being in the coffin with the earth's birthplace, Alucard was born in romania, so Seras sleeping in his coffin would not leave it stronger.
Another detail: This is an image of fun, assuming only a subliminal message in Hellsing Ultimate. Do not take the picture so seriously ^ ^

I'm afraid to say she can't of been in alucards coffin because she needed to be in a coffin filled with the soil of her birthplace in order to travel safely over water and alucards coffin has the soil of his homeland of Transylvania not England so if she was in his coffin she would have died crossing the ocean

True but by vampire lore the soil of the sire of the fledgling vampire is just as good as the soil of the fledgling especially if you are the fledgig of a very ancient and powerful vampire like Alucard then some things can be broken down. And this is very propable because of the sire and fledgling bond.

I love Alucard and seras paring... But it's easy to believe that she was so tired and distressed about sleeping in a coffin in the first place that she accidentally went inside of his...
It can also be an error in art. (a mistake on the part of the animators...)
I just enjoy things like this that make us believe one thing over another and fuel our fan girl/boy spirits!

Nice catch, but It is possibly a background design mistake. Seras' coffin is not that material but Alucard's coffin has not that sort of edging. Alucard's coffin has a thinner golden edge on the top and on the side. This one is too gray, more like silver. But Seras' coffin has edging like that, that can be seen in the beginning of OVA 4
There is a few mistakes like that, but as you say, everything can be understood as a message.

Alucard does state in the OVA that he would be bringing HIS coffin instead of Seras's...he refuses to go anywhere without his loyal coffin

I do not think it was an error scenario, it would be obvious. And surely someone would have seen. Hellsing Ultimate should be revised several times before arriving in our hands. Since the early attempts to Ova (not sure if a request for Kouta Hirano) leave subliminal messages about the relationship AxS, since the first Hellsing Ultimate. But I agree with what Kouta Hirano said and according to him, there is much more a relationship AxS, AXI he said are "master and servant, nothing more." Also, if you think that the pro Seras Alucard is too innocent - I think the Integra too respectable a woman to Alucard, I think the idea is a descendant of Van Hellsing who fall in love with vampire held absurd. Finally, but each one has their opinion about what you want and your tastes. In Hellsing 4 nor is there doubt, Schrödinger can be in two places at once and you're done, there can be a mistake or not, but it is only just for fun. are expressing their opinion, but no good coming in here wanting to pick a fight about the relationship AxS. Every one appreciates what you want, this poster was just a joke, I'm not saying anything. Sorry for the mistakes of English.

and like I said, Alucard's coffing has golden edge. So that is Seras' coffin with the color of Alucard's coffin. I still belive it's a mistake. And the poster is drawed by Ryoji Nakamori. I don't think Hirano knowed it, and possibly Nakamori misunderstood the relationship between Alucard and Seras.

Sry, I'm just a big anti AxS member. Seras is too innocent for the taste of Alucard. Not to mention that Alucard is more into Integra. The relationship between Alucard and Seras is more like father and daughter to me. Especially in the latest ova where Alucard pat Seras' head. THAT WAS SO DAMN CUTE 
You have the right to belive what you want to belive in. But think it's only a mistake like the time Alucard got the gloves of Anderson
What do you think about this. OVA 8 Rip Van Winkle dies scene:
Schrödinger sits on the ship with the Videophone. A few seconds later he stands right next to the Major. Again, a few seconds later he sits again on the ship saying Bye Bye to Rip Van.

Well the experiment "Schrödinger's cat" is about that one thing can exist in two different places in two different form/state in the same time. I think that Schrödinger has also the ability to exist in two different places at the same time.

Correct me pls, but I think both coffin can be seen, once they coming up on the stairs, there is two big thing brought up covered with black sheet. And once they are in the penthouse, right before Pip snaps out about that he needs to stay in a cheap hotel there is Alucad's and Seras' coffing lying on the ground (only Seras' is in a black bandage).
