Description
Its about time I named a photography with the word Epic in the title, well I found this photograph very fitting, what could be more fitting than 15P?BR Standard Class 7 No. "70013 Oliver Cromwell" heads up BR Standard Class 8 No. "71000 Duke Of Gloucester" in the most powerful double head I have ever seen.
This was the first train of the day to Heywood at the East Lancashire Railways Steam Gala.
More Epic Can be found below,
18-70mm Lens.

They might be standard class BR locomotives, but there's nothing standard about two steam engines running together in the 21st Century! Great Shot!

Reminds me of my Hornby Oliver Cromwell piloting Evening star on 3rd radius track on my layout when I was young!
Stonking Shot!

I shall do my best when I have the times. Then there's the engines. It's hard as hell to find British N-gauge equipment here in America. But I will try some day.

Personally, I think the term epic may be a little over-used for steam railroads, but this picture certainly deserves it.
